Our deep tissue massage is designed to relieve pain and muscle tension throughout the body. This type of massage is extremely beneficial because it reaches the deepest layer of muscle. With knowledge of the body's "acupoints" (the same points targeted by acupuncture), our treatments are able to deeply manipulate points within the body where injury or overload has caused blood coagulation that leads to chronic pain, tightness and disability. By breaking up these inflamed areas, deep tissue massage can restore healthy circulation and healing to the area. A word of caution: This massage can be uncomfortable to the patient. It does, however, usually lead to very noticeable improvements in joints and muscles. If this massage becomes too uncomfortable, please tell your therapist to apply less pressure, or request a relaxation massage. Please note that a Hot Stone massage is included free of charge at the end of all our massages.
